Abstract:
Rollups are a recent blockchain mechanism that allows executing transactions off-chain, providing a tradeoff between performance, security, and privacy. There has been a great deal of growth in Ethereum rollups over the last 6 months alone. This talk will cover some of the bleeding edge issues that remain in rollup design, both from an academic and engineering perspective.
